For over a hundred years, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce has spoken to the needs of the Brooklyn business community. Since it's founding in 1918, even then, the Brooklyn Chamber was a “modern” organization that saw itself as a protector and promoter of commercial and industrial interests of New York City. The Brooklyn Chamber has developed and nurtured an active civic spirit and sought to safeguard and improve living conditions and social welfare for local businesses and residents. The organization has a vibrant history that encapsulates the diverse, innovative, and everevolving Brooklyn business community.

Goes Global
Brooklyn has become a global brand, recognized now not just as a part of New York City, but as a world class attraction and destination. Examples are the Seongsu-Dong district in Seoul, South Kore now called the “Brooklyn of Seoul,” and the Brooklyn Bridge being an iconic landmark recognized in all corners of the world. As “Brooklyn” becomes an easily recognized brand and destination in the international landscape, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce works hard to get ahead of the trends and times by expanding its work to a global playing field.
