STATEMENT BY BROOKLYN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE PRESIDENT AND CEO CARLO A. SCISSURA ON STATE BUDGET APPROVAL

“The budget agreement reached by Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, Senate Majority Coalition Co-Leaders Dean Skelos and Jeff Klein, and Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver is fiscally responsible, good for business, and makes a significant investment in our City’s future through the funding of Pre-K without raising taxes. I would also like to commend State Senator Martin Golden and Assemblyman Joe Lentol for their tireless work on behalf of Brooklyn’s business community throughout the entire budget process. The Chamber knows it can always count on our Governor and our legislative delegation to work with together and create a plan that keeps this State moving forward, and that is precisely what they have done with this fair and on-time budget.”
