Brooklyn Chamber to Celebrate Italian Heritage Month with Launch of 3rd Annual Italia Week

October 16, 2015

The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce is kicking off its 3rd Annual Italia Week — October 22nd to 29th — highlighting exceptional Italian-owned businesses from across Brooklyn.

The festival of Italian culture will feature 28 businesses, including restaurants, cafes, gift shops and markets, in neighborhoods from Carroll Gardens to Dyker Heights to Coney Island.  Participating businesses will be offering patrons a variety of specials, discounts and pre-fixe menus.

Through the Chamber’s tourism website, Explore Brooklyn (ExploreBK.com), we encourage tourists and residents alike to explore the cultures, cuisines and neighborhoods that make up our borough.

“As a proud Italian-American, I couldn’t be more thrilled to launch yet another Italia Week,” said Brooklyn Chamber President & CEO Carlo A. Scissura. “Our borough boasts some of the finest Italian businesses in the world, so what better place to celebrate Italian heritage than right here in Brooklyn. I encourage everyone to explore our fantastic participating eateries and shops. Bon appetito!”
