Brooklyn Chamber Collects Over $11K for Local Food Banks During Brooklyn Eats Cares

The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that it has raised $11,510 during its 3rd Annual Brooklyn Eats Cares Fundraiser.
Monetary donations — collected from November 17th through December 31st — were split evenly among six partnering food banks and soup kitchens. NYBDC contributed an initial donation of $6,000 — $1,000 for each food pantry.  The remaining donations were collected through the Chamber’s website and from raffle sales during its Winter Gala on December 17th.
Brooklyn Eats is the borough’s largest food and beverage manufacturing trade show featuring products made in Brooklyn.
“Through Brooklyn Eats Cares, the Chamber is able to do its part to make the holidays a bit brighter for struggling Brooklynites,” said Brooklyn Chamber President & CEO Carlo A. Scissura. “I would like to thank the partnering food banks, NYBDC, and all those who contributed to this meaningful cause.”
